Kitty is having a good summer so far. She says "hello."
Last weekend I hopped in the car and made the 5 hour drive to the Oregon Coast for my aunts wedding.
all my Holmes cousins complete with our family who is from Australia. Loved seeing them---especially since it seems to only be once every 8 years or so.
The entire family on my Holmes side.
Father and fam.
My kickass cousin Kristyn. She plays soccer for Carroll in Montana. Kickass.
It felt kinda nice to get out of town- because this is the weather we were seeming to have WAY too consistently. For some reason it just feels like our summer is getting later and later in the Tri Cities.
The loves of my life.
We had to quickly cancel practice last week due to a crazy downpour rainstorm. I could have sworn we were in Florida somewhere- we just don't get that kind of rain in the Tri.
Just seems that the weekends that I already had planned to head out of town----the day turns out like this!
Why triathletes think this kind of fashion think is okay...is beyond me. But yes- this seemed pretty accurate for my long driving miles this month.
Was really excited to head up to IMCDA to spectate the ladies crushing those 140+miles. Loved watching my good friends Kristen and Jen attack the day after their long year of trainin mommas. Such an inspiration to me!
Super kickass!
My trip to CDA was the first one that I've really done solo. I loved it! It was nice to feel like I could go for a run....go for a swim....sit in the back of my car for...as long as I want. MMM. Good trip.
A couple weekends ago I got to spend some time in Portland with my sister en route to my Aunt's wedding on the coast. Luckily for me- I got to go to Sweet Pea (awesome awesome Vegan bakery in SE PDX)
UM yes, please. You wouldn't know they were vegan unless you knew...they were vegan.
I felt like a lot of my trip was me taking ridiculous pictures of myself while my sister tried to ignore me. :)
Sister Krysta and I at dinner. SO pretty in Lincoln City
So the wedding happened to fall on my BIRTHDAY! Got this pretty little pink bag! LOVE.
Also, got some pretty cool stickers! Love them.
Which I proceeded to add to my water bottle. "Eat like you give a damn"....about right hahah.
I give a damn. MMMMM. My sister took me to Paradox...a cute little breakfast place in SE PDX. Potatoes, Tofu scramble and a corn toast bread thing (was going for the gluten free idea)...soooo gooooood. mmm I love Portland...and their amazing food.
And concluding a long string of out of town weekends was our swim meet in Pendleton...
Perfect weather for some fast swimming. Am I living a dream???
Love, Erin
