I've been thinking a lot about choosing to be happy everyday.
All my reading and quiet time has helped me realize that this is a choice.
And I feel like I am making progress.
A few people will understand the importance of this. Dwelling in opportunity is the only way to dwell.
Sad to hear of Maya Angelou passing today. This quote couldn't mean more to me.
I've always thought that whatever you are passionate about, you will do a good job at...and I absolutely agree with her quote above.
I've got some really great opportunities right on the horizon...and I'm super excited to explore where they will take me through the next couple of months.
What I'm most excited about, is the uncomfortable/scariness of it all.
I mean you're not really growing if you're not pushing yourself to be uncomfortable.
Sorry about the vagueness of this all. As soon as plans are set I'll post a mega post.
In the meantime...loving our outdoor sunshine. Every day we are at the pool 3:00pm- 6:00pm (some days dry land pushing to 7:00pm) with all groups of TCCC. This weekend is our annual Tri City Invite...which is really exciting to see the kids display a fall and winter of hard work.
It will be a super fun weekend- but I can pretty much expect to be at the pool 6:30am-8:00pm....with 130 kids from our team competing. Meaning...eyes on pool...6:30am-8:00pm.
Coaching is an awesome job, but I remember being the athlete and thinking "Oh that job is so easy. They just sit there all day and eat free food." Um...wrong. Give me that (max. 10min effort swim) any day. :)
Getting some rays. Being healthy, happy. Perfect.
The summer always rejuvenates my passion for swimming. Not only have I been a sucker for LCM (long course) my whole life....but everyone is seeming to enjoy the outdoor sun (even my triathletes at 5am).
Our rainy day last week was even super appreciated. The weather has been right around mid 80s-90s.
Anyway, I guess thats all I have for today. Made a trip down to Bend over the Memorial Day weekend- will get a couple photos posted soon.
No pup photos this time. Just me bragging about how I can take a picture and ride my bike at the same time.
I know...watch out.
Love, Erin
