I ran into a fellow Rev3love, Race Directing was the Volunteer Coordinator for Rev3. How awesome!
This was my mother and I's pre-race party in the car. We were pretty excited for our Rockstar hats!
Oh, and PS my mother kicked ass and PR'ed by 6 minutes getting 2 OA Female. Must have been the rockstar hats. hah.
Another Pre-race.
Little did I know, my mother's goal was to keep with me as long as she could (which I think is easier for her than she realizes...) and she was snapping pictures the first few miles. Hilarious. This is the woman that called me WHILE she was running the Boston Marathon last year.
Out and back course- of course she had her camera out and ready to go! I was so excited to see she was the one chasing!
Which brings me to why we were in the PDX area in the first place---my grandparents Viuhkola are having their 50th anniversary. I literally had to call my mother and confirm this. My grandmother is my biggest hero. She has been through so much throughout her life- and yet still strives to make everyone in my family happy before herself. We are throwing them a huge party and everyone is flying in to celebrate in a couple months---my mother is in charge of arranging a slide show. The pictures we found were AMAZING. I hope I can be half the woman she is.
Another wedding photo.
Been a great few months. This might be becoming my best friend.
I started a NEW JOB about a month ago working for our club swim program. Say hello to Asst. Coach Erin who works (awkwardly) with the 7-13 year old crowd. I am not great with kids----which is exactly why I decided to take the job. I can not believe how much happiness this job gives me everyday. Another way that my local club swimming program CONTINUES to change and enhance my life.
And to finish a couple FAVORITES- I had to include my dinner tonight UM it was so good. Tilapia with fresh mango, brocolette, kale and apple salad with a lemon-Dijon vinaigrette, and some jasmine rice with lemon. I was pretty proud of these cooking skills. Hella.
It's that time for MY FAVORITE flowers. We used to go on walks behind my grandparents house and pick these wild. Love.
MY FAVORITE teapot. Yup. Exciting.
My Aritzia hoodie (thanks to miss Tasha)...if you think Lululemon is the best thing in the world...think again. I pretty much wear this sweatshirt under my clothes everyday.
Love, Erin

Awesome! Congrats
