big news, and no news

First, no news yet on what is currently undertaking in my body. It's been getting a little better- took a rest week from training--limited the gluten and refined sugars...caffiene. More water. Figured that whatever it is I might as well treat my body a little better. I think JM and I eat really well---but theres always the little things that could make it just a little better...does that mean no more ice-cream? I guess I will live.
Jm and I celebrating our 2.5! Time really does fly. (last bit of ice-cream for awhile :)

On a brighter note: some news that I have yet to announce

I am sooo sooo soo excited to welcome Omar to my JM, Cat and Erin Household.

This is Omar.
After weighing out pros and cons for (what seemed like) an eternity of a couple months..JM and I traveled up to see Jim with CycleMetrix--- http://www.cyclemetrix.com/--- in CDA, Id to see some of these bikes in person. Mainly, I was curious if this would even be a good bike brand for my body type. I definitely wanted to buy a bike that not only was super super pretty---but made sense for me. Jim was AWESOME. Very knowledgeable---super kind. His shop was AMAZING.
One thing that I LOVED about the shop was that he has worked/s with two of my biggest triathlon idols----Hillary Biscay and Heather Wurtele. This place just sweated of great energy.
(We got home and I hit three of my best bike weeks ever strictly from that motivation. haha)

After another couple weeks of these pros and cons- I am so excited to be a proud proud proud owner of a Blue Triad SL LE... :) These bikes are SOOO nice---was a hard choice. http://www.rideblue.com/index.php

First big purchase of my life. I feel so grown up (aw man!). Now, the hard part...the wait.

Still got my good ol Roo2 out on the road yesterday. Beautiful day for a longer ride. Also- I got her up on the roof rack ALL ALONE! I actually think my shoulders are a little sore today!
Saturday's weather wasn't so nice---glad we got out anyway!
hahah awkward. but you get it... :)
After our Sunday ride- I met my little niece Haylee Sprague--at the park. Love her!

SO i had a dream last night---

I was training in Bend, OR with Matt Lieto? And off of a sudden he was like "Oh no! IM CDA is this weekend and we are supposed to be there racing. We better get riding."
Love this ad- upper Left hand picture is Matt haha.

So...we rode our bikes as fast as we could to Couer D Alene...and got there right as transition was closing before the race. I was in my wetsuit and the pros took off...and went to check my bike one last time and it was Omar.

I then woke up.

I would understand why I would have had this dream last week. I have been putting in a lot of time biking...but not necessarily seeing any results (as numbers go). Also, I am 6 weeks out of IM St George...and haven't had a chance to get out on a long bike....let alone a hilly long bike. I've spent a lot of hours inside riding...but the thought of whether the long ride could happen or not was driving me INSANE.

I am confused why I had this dream last night, however. I'm happy to say that I did get in my long bike this weekend---even if 4.0 of these hours were inside on my trainer (along with an outside ride and swim). I'm ready for some summer weather...or spring that isn't 35 degrees. Even Bend, Or has had better weather than us on a consistent basis this year. Seriously? Bend had snow until June last year.....

Well anyway, I guess I should be confident. Hours of training are hours of training. And like Jm put it last week: Every pebble you put in your half full bucket is raising your waterline. Even if you don't see the water raise everyday...you will soon see that it has risen 2 inches closer to being a full bucket.

Anyway. Laundry, Dishes, Cleaning, Swim, Bike, Running....woof. Happy Monday

Love, Erin.
